The wool is 100% natural sheep's wool; the ivory and black come directly from the fleece, never touched by a dye pot, while the warm sand tones carry a single light wash of pomegranate peel. Every diamond in the lattice was placed by hand, one knot at a time, following a pattern passed down through generations of Taznakht weavers. It is the only one of its kind in the world.
Meaning & Symbolism
This runner is built around the diamond lattice — one of the oldest and most widely used forms in Amazigh weaving. In the Taznakht tradition, a field of repeating diamonds is understood as continuous protection: each unit a closed shape that holds something safe inside, and together they form an unbroken net across the length of the rug. Walking the length of this runner is, in the weaver's intention, walking through a field of blessings.
