Meaning & Symbolism
Scattered across the navy blue field are rhombus motifs — powerful Amazigh signs representing protection, strength, and courage. They appear again and again across the rug like a quiet refrain, each one a small geometric blessing from the artisan's hand.
Smaller marks move between them — hourglass shapes, layered triangles, and clusters of tiny diamonds — each one a word in the visual language of Amazigh weaving, passed down through generations of women who never needed to explain them.
